Tay Mansmann is a multi-hyphenate artist, storyteller, and portrait photographer based in Los Angeles, CA ~by way of ATX, DC, Prague, and Philadelphia. Through their explorations of modern queerness, they strive to foster connection and mindfulness, spark healing, and expand complex representation in front of and behind the camera. Tay is a 2021 Austin Film Society grant recipient and Gotham Film Institute award winning filmmaker for his latest project OBSCURA, now streaming through Focus Features. His past narrative / documentary work has screened internationally.

When not perfecting his pesto recipe, you can find Tay chasing sunsets on their bike, talking to strangers, or foraging for inspiration in wayward pebbles.

Mansmann holds a BA in English / Film & Media Studies from Georgetown University, and an MFA in Film Production from UT Austin ‘22.
